What Reviews Say

365 reviews analyzed

Camp Bow Wow West Warwick enjoys overwhelmingly positive reviews with 92% 5-star ratings. The facility excels in staff friendliness, cleanliness, and dog happiness - dogs genuinely love attending and owners appreciate the live camera access. However, there are notable safety concerns including two serious dog attack/mauling incidents where owners felt communication was lacking, and some complaints about the open-play environment not being suitable for all dogs. The owner responds to every review professionally and promptly. Main areas for improvement are communication during boarding stays and ensuring proper supervision to prevent dog-on-dog incidents.

Worth noting

Dog attack/mauling by another dog resulting in serious injury

Our dog had been mauled by a bulldog, to the point the attendant said we needed to figure out emergency care. After arranging pick up and normal vet visit (multiple) we are out over $2,000 in vet bills.

Delayed notification of dog incidents

They do not call me until 9:30am to tell me my dog snapped at another dog and had to place her in a cabin for time out. 45 minutes after the incident happened.

Dog injured at facility, owner not notified promptly

My dog was bit by another dog while at day camp yesterday. The employees did not see the other dog bite my dog and can't identify which dog it was. I was not notified of the incident until I came to pick him up even though it had happened over 3 hours prior.

Poor handling of dogs not suited for open-play environment

They put my dogs in a room with 20 other dogs in five minutes and they were terrified and they told me they couldn't take them there at all.

Lack of communication during boarding stays(3 mentions)

I recently boarded my dog when I went on my honeymoon for 9 nights and did not get a single update on how she was doing.

Open-play environment not suitable for all dogs(4 mentions)

They will not take your dog for boarding if they don't immediately get along with another strange dog.

Pricing concerns(3 mentions)

Dog feces not picked up timely... Pricing not honored for 2 dogs in a suite? Said could not give 2 dog rate because they were under different billing accounts?

Kennel cough/illness after visits(3 mentions)

Wondering if anyone else's dog has gotten sick the day after doggy daycare. I send both my Golden and German Shepherd, and they both have been throwing up sick the day after spending the day at daycare.
