What Reviews Say

42 reviews analyzed

Charlie's K9 Country Club receives overwhelmingly positive reviews (90% 5-star) with consistent praise for the owner's genuine love of dogs, excellent communication with photo updates, clean facility with outdoor runs, and reasonable pricing. The single most concerning incident (Review 40) appears to reference a different facility ('Wachter Engel') despite being posted for this business. Two legitimate complaints exist: one about communication difficulties during a stay and a dog developing kennel cough, and another about a dog overheating at pickup. The owner responds professionally to all reviews, including negative ones.

Worth noting

Dog died after ingesting blanket left by staff despite explicit instructions not to

We delayed surgery because we were assured, after calling W.E. several times, that she hadn't swallowed very much. If I could record voice to this review, you'd hear my kids sobbing in the background. Including boarding and surgery, I basically paid $1000 to have my dog killed over the course of two weeks.

Dog returned overheated and developed kennel cough

When we picked her up she was hot and I believe over heated. When we got home she did drink a lot water, with in the week of her being home she showed signs of kennel cough and I took her to the vet and was diagnosed.

Difficulty reaching staff by phone during stay

Every time I called during open hours I could never get a ahold of anyone just to make sure our baby was ok.

Phone/communication responsiveness during stays

Every time I called during open hours I could never get a ahold of anyone just to make sure our baby was ok.

Staff not following owner instructions

with extremely detailed instructions to not leave her blanket with her over night because she gets anxiety and will actually eat it. We were assured this would be watched carefully... Instead, she was left with her blanket, ate it, and is now dead
