What Reviews Say

94 reviews analyzed

Cozy Noses Bed & Breakfast Pet enjoys a strong reputation with many long-term customers praising the caring staff, clean facility, and ability to handle difficult dogs. However, there are serious safety concerns including multiple reports of dogs returning severely underweight, injured, or in one case dying from untreated illness. The facility appears best suited for social dogs that thrive in kennel environments, but potential clients should carefully weigh the predominantly positive reviews against concerning reports of inadequate supervision and feeding issues.

Worth noting

Dog died after boarding - owner not notified of health issues while dog was sick

β€œMy friend boarded her dog here last month and when they picked up the dog she was shaking. They took her to the vet and she died within 2 hours! When they called cozy noses and asked what happened they said well one day she had diarrhea another day she wouldn't eat and threw up bile… yet they never called the owner!”

Dog suffered heat stroke resulting in neurological damage

β€œI came back last week and my dogs came back not the SAME!!!!! My one baby came home having had a heat stroke and is in critical condition. Update - my dog is neurologically damaged from the heat stroke.”

Dogs left outside unsupervised resulting in dog fights

β€œI brought my dog there while I went on vacation about 10 months ago, he has never been the same, multiple fights with other dogs because they're left outside all day and night unsupervised, they are brought in 3 hours of the day or so very unprofessional”

Dogs returned severely underweight/Starved

β€œWhen we picked her up she looked starved. Literally her ribs were showing and she had a cut by her eye. My poor baby is SO skinny.”

Dogs returned injured with cuts and marks

β€œI noticed a cut on her nose. My normal playful and affectionate puppy is still cowered under the table.”

Dogs returned dehydrated with weight loss

β€œWe could see their ribs and their gums were white as if they were kind of dehydrated. Each dog had lost eight pounds each. In addition, one of my dogs had little red marks on the back of his left paw.”

Poor communication about dog health issues(3 mentions)

β€œThey never called the owner about the dog's diarrhea and vomiting”

Disrespectful staff attitude(2 mentions)

β€œWe don't give toys back... get a surly employee chastising me about policy”

Dogs stressed by kennel environment (barking, not sleeping)

β€œHe comes home looking like he hasn't slept in days, and has lost a few pounds. He's not a cage dog where he shares a chain link fence next to other potentially loud non stop barking dogs.”
