What Reviews Say

23 reviews analyzed

Dandy Dog Daycare receives overwhelmingly positive reviews (21 of 23 are 5-star) with customers praising the loving staff, happy dogs, and excellent communication. However, there is one devastating 1-star review describing a dog death during boarding with serious allegations about staff handling and empathy, and a second 1-star review about staff competency and billing issues. The owner responds professionally to all reviews, including the negative ones. The facility appears to have a loyal customer base, though the serious safety incident represents a significant red flag that prospective customers should consider.

Worth noting

Dog death during boarding - owner didn't notice dog was dead for 60-90 minutes, dog found covered in vomit and diarrhea, staff allegedly lied about checking on sick dog

When I arrived to pick him up, he was dead and the staff didn't even know. My dog was stiff and in rigor mortis. I learned from the vet that means he was dead for 60-90 minutes.

Alleged staff dishonesty about checking on sick dog

So, the employee lied about checking on my dog when they knew he was very sick.

Owner perceived as prioritizing liability over customer empathy during crisis

she was more concerned about her liability than about me or my dog

Staff training/competency concerns

I think you should train staff better. And when you do a new hire screen to see if they are even an animal compatible person.

Dog death during boarding - handling and communication

I will never recommend this place given how they handled the death of my dog while he was in their care.
