What Reviews Say

65 reviews analyzed

Dog Wellness Club receives overwhelmingly positive reviews (85% 5-star) with praise for their cage-free environment, knowledgeable staff, and excellent socialization of shy dogs. However, there are two serious concerns: a dog was bitten by another dog and management was perceived as evasive, and another dog developed severe anxiety/fear responses. The lack of security cameras is a recurring complaint that concerns some pet parents. The owner responded defensively to negative reviews, which may indicate room for improvement in handling customer concerns. Most dogs thrive here, but the facility may not be ideal for all temperaments.

Worth noting

Dog attacked/bitten by another dog resulting in injury

Our dog was bit by another dog after a few months of trying out DWC. While picking up after the day of the attack, the manager was evasive about the reason why our dog had a bloody hole in his shoulder the size of a very large nail.

Dog developed severe anxiety and fear responses

My dog started exhibiting concerning behaviors. I noticed in the car on the way to the facility he looked anxious, to the point where he would start shaking when we parked out front of the facility.

Lack of transparency - no security cameras

However, there's really no way to know if he's really doing okay or not given that they don't have any cameras.

Staff insensitivity to anxious dogs

The person that greeted me was not at all empathetic and firmly told me to put down my dog.

Staff unfriendliness at pickup

The first thing you're asked at DWC is what time you'll be picking up your dog, often without a hello.

Dog not suitable for all temperaments(2 mentions)

Our dog is a 24 lb. golden doodle who bounds into the other two day cares we've used while dragging his feet to into Dog Wellness Club.
