What Reviews Say

135 reviews analyzed

Hidden Gem Pet Resort (formerly Tee Emm's Kennel) is an overwhelmingly beloved facility with 95%+ positive reviews. Customers praise the staff's genuine love for animals, excellent training programs (especially Dani), clean facilities, and accommodating nature with special-needs pets. A few isolated incidents (dog injury, cat URIs, nail trimming issue) exist but represent rare exceptions to the otherwise excellent track record. The owner is highly responsive, maintaining a professional and warm tone. Long-term loyalty is evident with many customers using the facility for 5-26 years.

Worth noting

Dog injured during daycare play - dog thrown up, marked up, required vet visit, then banned

there was a incident with her dog two weeks ago they where only playing per manager no big deal her boyfriend picked her up on tues and on weds the manager informed him she was not welcomed back also the dog was throwing up and marked up when he came home she called her vet to take her to hospital to be check out.

Cats contracted Upper Respiratory Infections during boarding - $800+ vet bill

Both cats developed Upper Respiratory Infections within a few days of being boarded... Our vet surmised the cats both got this URI from the caretakers handling their food and not washing their hands.

Nail trimming incident causing lasting trauma to dog

NOW, one of our dogs will not let anyone trim his nails. It has been 4 1/2 years of constant struggle every time he goes to get his nails cut.

Pricing structure - calendar day vs night charging

they are the only boarding facility I know that charges by calendar day vs by night. So a single night stay costs 2 days… doesn't make sense.

Daycare restrictions on unfixed dogs

they very abruptly stopped us from going to daycare one day because our puppy isn't fixed yet and apparently she was getting too aggressive in play with other females.

Recent decline in service quality

some of the changes to services and staffing recently have declined IMO... I did question things a few times as well; but was meet with vague answers.
