What Reviews Say

179 reviews analyzed

K9 Resorts East Brunswick enjoys overwhelmingly positive reviews with 85%+ 5-star ratings. The facility excels in staff friendliness, dog happiness, and communication through regular Instagram updates. However, a minority of reviews (approximately 8 negative out of 179) highlight serious concerns including excessive confinement, cleanliness issues at pickup, and isolated incidents of illness/infection. The owner responds to every review professionally, often offering complimentary baths. Repeat customers are common, with many noting dogs excitedly rush to enter the facility. The primary concerns from negative reviews relate to inconsistent care quality and communication breakdowns during peak periods.

Worth noting

Dogs left in cages for excessive hours with minimal outdoor time (only 15-min breaks 4x daily)

My dogs did not get to do dog daycare till more than halfway through their stay. They were stuck in their rooms all day, only being let out for a whole hour each day (which was four 15 mins breaks daily).

Dog injured/over-groomed due to neglect - licked self bald and got infected

My one older dog was so bored in the cage all day long and because he didn't get adequate time out he licked himself bald in three spots which got infected.

Dog covered in dried urine and feces at pickup

When staff member brought our dog to my husband- he reeked of urine smell. My husband noticed that his paws were soaked in urine with dried feces and covered in dried feces & urine on our puppy’s chest area.

Dogs contracted ringworm and kennel cough at facility

my dog got ring worm and kennel cough from staying over the weekend.

Medication administration errors

by over-feeding him the facility had also given him double doses of his medication... he went from having double doses of his medication on the front of the trip to half doses on his last three nights.

Dogs showing signs of illness after daycare (labored breathing, vomiting)

Second time in two weeks we brought our dog home from daycare here and she had labored breathing and throwing up.

Lack of photo updates as promised(4 mentions)

I also had to reach out via email to check on them when there is no photos of them and the answer I get we are busy but you will see it shortly.

Dogs coming home smelling dirty/smelly despite bath(3 mentions)

Every time I picked her up she had this terrible odor on her, I’m not sure if they don’t clean where the dogs play or what, but she REEKED.

Dogs losing weight/depressed after stay(2 mentions)

Both lost so much weight and seemed depressed specially the Australian shepherd.

Overnight staff not present

When the day is done, there is no staff overnight. So from about 7pm or so, to about 7am, the dogs are alone.
