66 reviews analyzed

Oak Ridge Pet Boarding enjoys overwhelmingly positive reviews with 53 of 66 reviews giving 5 stars. Customers consistently praise the caring staff, excellent communication with photo/text updates, and the individual attention each dog receives. The facility is described as clean and beautiful. However, 4 one-star reviews raise concerns about heat exposure safety and a dog injury (happy tail) where communication was lacking. A few reviewers mention pricing confusion and some post-merger service changes affecting consistency. The owner responds to every review within about a day with professional, warm messages.

Worth noting

Heat exposure - dog left outside in 98 degree heat became lethargic and overheated

It was 98 degrees today here in the metro area, if the dogs needed to go out they should have only been out to use the bathroom and brought back in.

Injury - dog developed 'happy tail' requiring vet visit, staff unaware and owner dismissive

The last two times we kenneled our dog there, he came home with happy tail. One of those times required a visit to the vet and his tail took weeks to heal.

Pricing confusion and nickel-and-diming(2 mentions)

As far as personal attention goes, it comes at a cost. We felt they nickeled and dimed us for every single thing and it was very expensive.

Communication issues about pet care/behavior(2 mentions)

I got a report saying that he was [afraid]. I've never seen him nip at anyone before so this was highly concerning... I don't feel confident I know what the situation was.

Senior dog care concerns

There was recently admitted confusion to feeding amt when I pick up our dog... Trying to keep weight on our senior small dog, so a few days of only half food isn't good.
