What Reviews Say

700 reviews analyzed

Paws Pet Resort & Spa enjoys overwhelmingly positive reviews with a 4.8/5 average rating across 700 reviews. Customers praise the caring staff, clean facility, excellent communication via photos and report cards, and dogs' obvious excitement to attend. However, several serious safety incidents (broken hip, dog attack, bed sores leading to euthanasia) and recurring complaints about high pricing and kennel cough outbreaks slightly temper the overall assessment. The owners respond professionally to nearly all reviews, including negative ones, and frequently offer refunds or follow-up. Despite some concerns, the majority of customers are repeat visitors who trust the facility with their pets.

Worth noting

Serious injury - puppy returned with broken hip with no explanation

After five days on my vacation I get a call from my family Telling me that my puppy freedom hip was broken. Prior to me taking my puppy to these people she was in great health no issues.

Dog attack during daycare resulting in puncture wounds requiring stitches

My rescue hound was attacked by a female pitbull, and as a result, her neck, cheek, head & ear were punctured. She required sedation, stitches, antibiotics & pain meds.

Senior dog returned with bed sores, abrasions, unable to walk - had to be euthanized

When my parents picked him up he was in horrible condition. The staff hid a giant bed sore from them... his entire body was covered in abrasions and bed sores... he could not walk at all and his jaw was locked.

Kennel cough outbreaks affecting multiple dogs

When we got them home one of our dogs was throwing up, coughing, and acting very strange. It was because he had kennel cough.

Cat returned with urine and feces on fur

One of my cats came home with their back legs fully covered in dried pee and some dried feces.

Medication administration failures

She had a vitamin for hip dysplasia that she must have every morning. At pick up (3pm) i look through her things and she had not had her medicine that day.

High pricing/a-la-carte costs(12 mentions)

This is the worse place. $800 to have two dogs boarded for 8 days, and the only thing included was 3 walks a day.

Confusing pricing structure/policies(5 mentions)

We were charged $122 for one overnight plus two play sessions at $19.99 each... they tried to charge us for a full service that he hadn't even gotten

Kennel cough outbreaks(4 mentions)

The first time they come home with kennel cough, be careful.

Pickup time policies and charges(3 mentions)

I do not believe that one should be charged for another night if you can't pick up by 11 a.m.
