What Reviews Say
49 reviews analyzedPet Camp Ranger Station receives overwhelmingly positive reviews with 45 of 49 reviews giving 5 stars. The facility is particularly praised for its exceptional care of anxious, reactive, and special needs dogs, with staff described as knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. However, two 1-star reviews raise serious concerns about understaffing, excessive crating (8+ hours), lack of transparency about enrichment activities, and dogs showing signs of distress including skin lesions and dehydration. These complaints represent significant red flags, though they appear to be isolated incidents relative to the overall volume of positive experiences. The high repeat customer rate (21 mentions) and emergency response praised in review 15 suggest most customers have trustworthy experiences.

Staff shoutouts
Worth noting
Understaffing leading to dogs crated 8+ hours with minimal enrichment
โI found out that during a 9-9.5 hour day, he only has 3- 20min 'play sessions' and the rest of the day is spent in a CRATE!!!! ALONE!!!โ
Dogs showing signs of distress - traumatized behavior, dehydration, skin lesions
โHe barely registered who I was? He is such a happy guy and usually prances out of daycare/boarding... but he was like a different dog when I picked him up.โ
Lack of transparency about actual care provided vs. promised services
โI am not only mortified at the lack of transparency of this establishment, but I am also saddened by the fact that I was finagled into paying exorbitant amounts of money to just put my pup into a crate the whole day.โ
Poor hygiene - dogs smelling of urine at pickup
โBecause even with the bath he reeked of urine.โ
Generic/uninformative daily updates about dog's specific activities(2 mentions)
โI've only been told generic notes from his stay 'had fun playing on the grass and cuddling with the counselors before bed.' That's great news but I wish it was a little more tailored to his stay/experience.โ
High prices relative to actual services delivered(3 mentions)
โI can't believe they're charging $180 to crate dogs for 8 hours a day and give them 'enrichment' for a maximum of 1 hour. Highway robbery.โ
Lack of transparency about enrichment activities and group play guarantees(2 mentions)
โHe said there's no way to guarantee he would even have a group play session. Basically if only reactive or non-social dogs come then my dog would not have any group play time with other dogs.โ
