What Reviews Say

80 reviews analyzed

The Dog Chalet is a highly polarizing facility that serves as a convenient drop-off point for tourists visiting nearby ski resorts, with many praising the friendly staff and 'tired' dogs. However, a significant number of reviews detail catastrophic safety failures, including a dog's death from an unnoticed attack, severe understaffing, and the use of non-employees to supervise animals. While regular daycare users seem satisfied, the facility faces serious allegations of negligence, lack of overnight supervision, and poor sanitation.

Worth noting

Unsupervised play and lack of overnight staffing

Dogs left alone inside with no supervision... overnight boarding in kennels with no attendant.

Severe injuries and dog death

My dog was attacked by another dog under their 'care'... The infection was in her bloodstream and she died.

Extreme understaffing/unqualified supervision

She had to ask a random employee from the cannabis dispensary next door to watch the dogs while she was away.

Inadequate health/safety protocols

What kind of business doesn’t feed dogs separately? That’s an accident waiting to happen.

Overcrowding in small space(6 mentions)

The actual building is so tiny, and they cram as many dogs in there as possible…which is unsafe.

Hygiene and smell(3 mentions)

Also they all smell like absolute piss. Also when I walked up... one of my female huskies was being humped by a giant male dog and nothing was being done.

Billing and pricing disputes(3 mentions)

Beware of their misleading pricing... owner Kelly hung up on me when I asked her to explain why she charged me for services I didn't use.
