What Reviews Say
52 reviews analyzedTwo by Four New York is overwhelmingly beloved by customers, with 48 of 52 reviews giving 5 stars. The family-run facility excels at creating a home-away-from-home atmosphere where dogs are treated as family, with daily photo updates and genuine staff affection evident throughout. However, 4 negative reviews (two 1-star ratings) raise concerns about injury communication protocols, kennel cough incidents, and defensive responses to customer concerns. The majority of customers are long-term loyalists (some 5-8 years) who specifically praise the cleanliness, dog happiness, and thoughtful amenities like pools and covered play areas. The few complaints center on transparency issues rather than core care quality.

Worth noting
Injury to dog not communicated to owner - dog picked up with chunk of hair/skin missing, owner was not informed
“I picked up my dog from boarding over the weekend and did not notice a chunk of hair and skin missing from the side of my dog until I arrived home (size of a quarter). She is black so it is highly visible. I reached out to the owner, worried about my dog and she shrugged it off as dogs being dogs and that my dog probably rubbed against something.”
Kennel cough outbreak - multiple dogs contracted it
“My dogs contracted Kennel Cough there twice. We reported it to them the second time they contracted it and they denied that our dogs got it there and blamed it on dog parks.”
No live camera access for owners to monitor dogs
“They also do not have cameras that you can view, which I also let slide as we were in need of a place to board my dog when we are out of town.”
Facility not shown during evaluation - no tour of boarding quarters
“They did not show the quarters where the dogs stay, which I thought was weird”
Lack of transparency about injuries/incidents(2 mentions)
“I was upset I was not told of the injury before I picked up my dog and wish I was notified after it happened”
No live camera access(2 mentions)
“It is strange they have no live cameras there too.”
Defensive/unsympathetic owner responses to concerns(2 mentions)
“The owner responded arrogantly, defensively and unsympathetically and to look elsewhere for boarding if I'm uncomfortable”
