What Reviews Say

162 reviews analyzed

Ultimate Canine Care enjoys overwhelmingly positive reviews with a 4.8 average rating, praised for exceptional staff friendliness, clean facilities, fair pricing, and making dogs feel at home. However, there are serious red flags including a rabbit death during boarding and a few reports of dogs returning in poor condition. The owner actively responds to reviews with personalized, professional messages. Most concerning are isolated but severe incidents involving animal safety and communication breakdowns that potential customers should be aware of.

Worth noting

Animal death - rabbit killed by dog during boarding

I am very disappointed in the death of my rabbit. I have been a customer for 2 years and left him for boarding he was killed by a dog. A dog should have not been an area where other animals were.

Dog returned severely dehydrated with urine burns

Picked up my dog Hunter from them after staying there 5 days and as soon as I got him in the car I could smell urine. Got him home and his whole belly and chest was caked in dried urine.

Dog contracted kennel cough and had skin wounds after boarding

Both my dogs came back from here with kennel cough. Also, one dog had two large wear spots on her chest and stomach.

Potential unauthorized medication suspected

My husband's convinced there might've been some melatonin or something similar given without our permission.

Poor communication during boarding stays(3 mentions)

3 days after hearing nothing I called and was told there doing great and they'd send pics. Another day goes by and finally a photo.

Dog returned in poor condition (dirty, matted, skinny)(3 mentions)

He was returned to me with LARGE clumps of poo on his bottom that had to be cut off and poo on other places on his body, his nails were splitting on several toes, and he is noticeably skinnier.

Hidden/unexpected charges

They seem nice but add on charges when you pick your dog up that they don't tell you about when you drop off.

Staff rudeness/customer service decline(2 mentions)

The past two visits were the last two times I will spend my money with this company. They are rude and do not seem to find their customers important.
