What Reviews Say

33 reviews analyzed

Waterville Animal Resort receives overwhelmingly positive reviews (26 five-star ratings) praising its clean facility, compassionate staff, excellent on-site veterinary care, and good dog socialization. However, 2 serious red flag reviews document concerning incidents: one dog returned with untreated hot spots requiring vet care, and another suffered urine burns from lying in a soiled bed. These negative experiences highlight potential gaps in supervision and hygiene for some stays. The majority of customers are repeat users who appreciate the 24/7 veterinary access and post photos of pets on Facebook.

Staff shoutouts

Billy

Worth noting

Dog returned with severe hot spots on feet from excessive chewing/licking - untreated during stay

I discovered two chewed hot spots on her front feet that were raw, very swollen and red/bloody

Dog suffered urine burns from lying in saturated urine-soaked bed

The top of his paws were beat red and his hair was falling out...vet told us it was urine burns from him laying in his own urine for long periods of time

Staff ignored/denied health issues rather than addressing them

staff feigned ignorance...called me a second time claiming these hot spots were merely calluses

Lack of daily activity logs/updates

I would like to see is a log of my animals' day. I want to know how much they ate, when they played, when my cat was given his medication

No photo updates as promised

I did not see any photos of my dog...It would have been nice to see some of both the dog and cat so I could be assured that they are doing well

Difficulty reaching staff/owner for concerns

I attempted to address this issue with the business, and was unable to reach anyone
