What Reviews Say

77 reviews analyzed

Weeping Willow Kennels presents a stark duality: the majority of reviews (approximately 80%) are highly positive, praising clean facilities, caring staff, and happy dogs, with many long-term customers. However, a small but significant minority of reviews describe serious safety incidents including a dog death, a broken leg, improper insulin administration, and a happy tail injury requiring amputation - all representing high-severity red flags. The owner responds professionally but defensively to negative reviews. While most customers have excellent experiences, the severity of the safety-related complaints warrants serious consideration before entrusting pets to this facility.

Worth noting

Dog died while in facility - owner allegedly told owner dog ran away and hid body in dump

โ€œdo NOT use this kennel,, as they let my dog die then tried to hide my precious dogs body in the dump and told me my dog ran away,, this is BEYOND disgustingโ€

Dog returned with broken leg - no notification to owner, no action taken

Senior dog given insulin without food, overfed, returned barely able to stand

โ€œTHEY OVERFED HER FOR SEVERAL DAYS & WHEN THEY RAN OUT IF FOOD, GAVE HER INSULIN, BUT DID NOT FEED HER. MY SENIOR DOG WAS CONFUSED & BARELY ABLE TO STAND WHEN I WENT TO PUT HER IN THE CAR.โ€

Happy tail injury - dog needed partial tail amputation, no proactive communication

โ€œOur dog is enroute to have his tail partially amputated as I write this - due to HAPPY TAIL he got at this kennel. No call before we picked him up, no attempt to mitigate the issueโ€

Kennel cough acquired during stay - 80 pets in facility, potential unclean conditions

โ€œAfter he got a kennel cough shot, our dog still acquired the cough. During that weekend, there were 80 pets being kenneled per the staff. A unclean environment may have been the problem.โ€

Deceptive/default pricing on reservation form resulting in unexpected charges
