What Reviews Say
109 reviews analyzedHappy Tails Country Club East enjoys overwhelmingly positive reviews with 91 of 109 reviews being 5-star. Dogs consistently love attending - many reviews describe dogs rushing to enter and being sad to leave. The facility is praised for cleanliness, quality staff who treat dogs like family, and excellent socialization support for reactive or anxious dogs. However, there are serious red flags including 4 high-severity incidents: a dog returned emaciated and euthanized, a dog with chemical burns from bleach exposure, a puppy with bite wounds and 105ยฐF fever, and a dog possibly sedated without permission. Several negative reviews also cite staff rudeness and strict pickup policies. The owner responds to 80% of negative reviews with a mix of professional and defensive tones, often explaining facility policies.

Worth noting
Dog returned emaciated and had to be euthanized
โWhen we returned six days later, she was emaciated. By the time we got her to the vet she could barely walk. We just returned from Reach animal hospital. We had to put our baby of 13 years down. They didn't call us or our vet!โ
Chemical burns in dog's mouth from bleach exposure
โAfter paying $3000 we found out she had chemicals burns in her mouth. After talking with aaron, i later found out they use bleach to clean the yards while dogss are playing out in the yards!โ
Dog returned severely ill with bite wounds and high fever
โOur 5 month old puppy when picked up after 7 days of kennel for our vacation had lost 8 pounds = skinny and bones / lethargic / temp at 105.3 / multiple bite woundsโ
Dog returned appearing abused and possibly sedated
โOur dog was not the same after staying there. Was very afraid of people, as if they had been abused. Also lethargic, as is they had Ben sedated without permission.โ
Kennel cough despite vaccination
โEach one of my dogs at separate occasions came home with kennel cough after spending a weekend at Happy Tails. They are both, of course, vaccinated.โ
Staff rudeness and unprofessionalism(6 mentions)
โI honestly feel this establishment has the rudest and most inefficient staffโ
Strict pickup/dropoff policies and poor communication(5 mentions)
โI was in the parking lot and calling at 12:03 instead of 12 and got scolded by Leslieโ
Unexpected fees and pricing issues
โI returned to get my dog the next day at 3:00 pm only to be charged a additional $35.00 dollars for afternoon pickup feeโ
Grooming service issues
