The facility scores highly on cleanliness, staff friendliness, and dog happiness, with particular praise for camera access and regular photo updates. However, serious safety concerns exist - including at least two dog deaths (one from heat stress), allegations of a traumatized dog, and reports of dogs being left alone in rooms. Worth noting
Dog death due to heat stress while in facility's care
โMy dog passed away while under their care. The autopsy report stated that the cause of death was heat stress, a condition that could have been prevented with proper care and monitoring.โ
Dog allegedly overheated and left alone in room for nearly 2 hours
โI was told he had 'overheated'. They had put my dog in a room right about the time I called and I was told they keep them there for 30 minutes... my dog was alone, in a room because he was OVERHEATING for almost 2 hours.โ
Dog showed signs of trauma after stay - flinching as if being hit
โHe went home and drinked soooooo much water I immediately thought he was dehydrated... the way he flinched was as if someone was hitting him.โ
Dog developed pressure sores during stay
โHe also has a new pressure sore. We've never had that problem at the place we use for boarding and day camp.โ
Dog developed hotspots from pool - not properly dried
โHe is covered in hotspots and when we dropped him off, he was perfectly fine... I find out that it means that they're not being dried off properly.โ
Missing promised services - photos, updates, individual playtime not provided(4 mentions)
โI selected a package that included individual playtime, ice cream, and daily photo updates... I never received a single photo the entire time.โ
Grooming quality issues - incomplete service, nick on nail, overcharging(3 mentions)
โThey nicked her nail and she was bleeding... they said they attempted to do it but the clippers scared our dog and we were still charged for it.โ
Staff overwhelmed/high-strung, lack of attention to individual dogs(3 mentions)
โThe staff seemed high-strung and overwhelmed, like something was always going on behind the scenes.โ
Dirty facility conditions
โWe saw a very dirty suite with at least a day of number two stools and feces smeared on the poor dog's bed.โ
