What Reviews Say
382 reviews analyzedCamp Bow Wow Castle Rock receives overwhelmingly positive reviews. Customers consistently praise the friendly, professional staff, the convenience of live webcams, and the joy of seeing their dogs come home happy and tired. Many reviewers highlight the facility's cleanliness, the excellent grooming service, and the accommodating nature of the team. The staff, especially Daphne, Rachel, and Jason, are frequently mentioned and appreciated. However, several serious complaints exist: safety concerns regarding dog supervision (including a dog attack incident and a lack of overnight staffing), allegations of improper medication administration, lost customer belongings, and dogs returning with infections or diarrhea. A few customers also mention a mandatory two-night minimum boarding requirement that caused frustration. Overall, the facility is highly regarded for its daily care, but there are recurring issues related to supervision, health, and administrative policies that detract from an otherwise excellent reputation.

Worth noting
Dog attack/aggression management concerns
βMy dog was a regular boarder at this facility until a few months ago...the staff was not watching him and they said that he attacked another dog. First, they literally said that they were NOT watching him like they were supposed to be doing.β
Overnight unsupervised (no staffing 7pm-7am)
βJust came to learn that no one is actually in the building from 7pm to 7am for overnights.β
Accusations of poor feeding/medication administration
βThey say that they feed the dogs medication but all they do is nothing and convince pet owners that they got their meditation.β
Dog returned with infections or illness (diarrhea, eye/foot infection)
βTwice our dogs have stayed and twice came home with diarrhea we are done very disgusting!β
Unsanitary conditions / dark smelly facility
βSmelled like urine was dark would not leave my dog with them.β
Poor handling of dog aggression claims(3 mentions)
βMy dog has NEVER been an aggressor...They told us he could not come back and they did not provide any evidence that my dog attacked another dog randomly.β
Mandatory minimum boarding days / scheduling inconvenience(2 mentions)
βFirst it was that they required a 2 day boarding minimum on holidays. It doesn't matter if you need 1 day, you pay for 2.β
Lost customer belongings(2 mentions)
βI asked about the blanket. Received blank stares. A staff member went in the back to look. Nothing.β
Dogs coming back with health issues (kennel cough, papilloma)(2 mentions)
βThe only downside is that he's gotten kennel cough and a papilloma, but we think that's the risk of having a well socialized dog.β
