What Reviews Say
124 reviews analyzedDoggy Come Play enjoys overwhelmingly positive reviews with dogs appearing happy and staff being described as caring and friendly. However, a significant minority of reviews (approximately 10%) raise serious concerns including a dog death, multiple illness outbreaks, inadequate staffing ratios, and owner communication issues. The facility is praised for cleanliness and reasonable prices, but safety concerns and poor incident communication represent significant red flags that prospective customers should carefully consider.

Staff shoutouts
Worth noting
Dog death under care - owner showed no empathy
βMolly had died... Doggie Come Play was short on the details, only saying they found her bloated and thought her stomach had flipped... Joan, the owner, was extremely defensive and remorseless.β
Multiple serious illness outbreaks (kennel cough, coronavirus, mycoplasma, giardia, warts, E. coli)
βWithin weeks she caught kennel cough, canine coronavirus, and mycoplasma... later she developed warts, mycoplasma, ecoli, infections, and giardia, needing 2 separate surgeries.β
Staff screaming at dogs
βEvery time I pass by I hear the employees screaming and I mean screaming at dogs.β
Severe injury/neglect - rashes, scabs, dehydration, bite marks
βShe came back with rashes covering her belly, scabs on her ears and neck and was severely dehydrated upon pick up.β
Understaffing creating safety hazards
βWay too many dogs for how many staff members are present (the last time we took our dog here there were over 100 dogs and 4 staff members).β
Owner customer service/attitude(5 mentions)
βAaron immediately went on the defensive and was confrontational... I canβt in good conscience continue to take my dogs to DCP with ownership this lacking in character.β
Staff-to-dog ratio too low(3 mentions)
βThe number of staff to dogs is ridiculously low and unsafe.β
Lack of communication about incidents(3 mentions)
βWe called twice and no one reached out to us... still no response.β
Refund/policy issues(3 mentions)
βHe disrespectfully stated 'NO refunds, it's posted' and went to the wall where nothing is posted regarding refunds.β
