What Reviews Say
222 reviews analyzedHometown Bed & Biscuits enjoys overwhelmingly positive reviews with a 4.5/5 average rating, as customers praise the caring staff, convenient vet co-location, and happy dogs. However, significant red flags exist around grooming injuries (razor burns, cut dew claws, corneal abrasions), a serious dog attack during daycare where owners weren't notified, and recurring complaints about grooming quality inconsistency and lack of communication during boarding. The owner responds to very few reviews (3 of 222), and while responses are professional, they sometimes appear defensive. Long-term repeat customers are common, with many using the facility for years.

Grooming injury - razor burn requiring vet visit
โMy dog's stomach-area had severe razor burn which was not reported to anyone until the head groomer saw it later... My dog was admitted to the vet clinic next door to make sure he was fine.โ
Grooming injury - dew claw cut too short causing bleeding
โI noticed that he's bleeding, a lot. The cause of his bleed is his dew claw was cut WAY too short.โ
Dog contracted upper respiratory infection at facility

Dog fight resulting in injuries - owner accused of racism
โBoss is now in pain, he's not playful, and for the first time ever I've watched tears come out his eyes.โ
Grooming caused corneal abrasion
โI had to bring my dog to the vet where he was diagnosed with a corneal abrasion, which could have been caused by the groomer.โ
Grooming quality issues - inconsistent cuts, injuries(8 mentions)
โMy dogs now look nothing like schnauzers. They appear to have just been shaved all overโ
Lack of communication/updates during boarding(5 mentions)
โThis is not a place that sends you updates or texts/calls you to update you about your petโ
Pricing transparency issues(4 mentions)

Facility size/quality not as represented(3 mentions)
โThe 'luxury' suite was a small, windowless, cramped space, far from any kind of luxuryโ
Poor customer service at front desk(3 mentions)
